WRITING IN THE DISCIPLINES SUMMER 2 2008 50422 (ENG-201-50422.200850) > COURSE INFORMATION > COURSE REQUIREMENTS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL Course Requirements Explained in Detail Course requirements 1. Quizzes (30% of final grade): All of the quizzes have 10 multiple choice questions. You must finish and submit the quizzes in 20 minutes. You cannot say “My computer froze” as a reason for not submitting a quiz. If you have any technical difficulty, you need to work it out with DOIT. The instructor does not accept technology issues as excuses for missed work, un- less you have proof from DOiT that the problem was their fault. Quizzes should only be done on the days they are due on the syllabus. Quizzes done at any other time will not receive credit. 2. Essays and responses: For each part of the course, you will post a formal essay to our class bulletin board in response to assign- ments from me. These writings will be called "formal postings". These posting questions are analytical in nature. After you do your own Formal Posting, you will be responsible for reading all of the postings from your fellow students and responding to two or more for each assignment. These writings will be called "response postings." You’ll find all of the WRITING ASSIGNMENTS for your FORMAL POSTINGS in the Syllabus. How to Post your Formal essays in the Class Discussion Board: click on the icon Discussion Board. Select the appropriate Forum (each week of the course has a separate forum). Copy and paste
