Cecilia Araiza Writing 90                                 Race does not define who you are I can’t change genetically change the race that I was born into, nor can I change  the prejudice many others associate with Mexicans. I can only show by example that I  am not limited to negative stereotypes. I believe no one should be discriminated for  where they come from and by the way they look. The color of my skin and the color of  my hair should not define who I am as person. Martin Luther King Jr. once said “I have  a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be  judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” Just recently at  work I was fulfilling my duties ,when I heard someone talk over my shoulder and say  “It’s so typical for Mexicans  to work at minimal job instead of pursuing a career.”

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
