Lake District 2 There have been numerous glaciations for the past 400,000 years & each has left its blemish on the landscape. The present day landscape is the product of the glaciation amid the Pleistocene where more than 20 glaciations happened amid the Pleistocene. The latest was the Loch Lomond stadial which happened 12,880 - 11,500 years prior. Amid the Loch Lomond Stadial, the UK was shrouded by in an ice sheet that extended up to South Wales. This created the landscape we witness currently i.e. Lake District which was created when the ice sheet extended from the north & shrouded a great part of the Skiddaw Group rock, Borrowdale Volcanic Group rock & Windermere Group rock which form the bedrock. Due to the geology, geomorphic processes and climate of the time, the ice created distinctive we witness today. However, human activities have begun to impact the feature available in glacial landscapes through human utilization & anthropogenic climate change. This is clear in today's glaciated landscapes, for example, the Lake District, Southwest Switzerland & Iceland.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
