Yi Liu ENG RI 127 Homewor k # 7 Secti on 4 1.Part A: (a).My basic responsibilities as an environmental engineer in this plant is the monitoring of water and air discharges at my plant and the periodic preparation of reports to be submitted to the Department of Natural Resources. (b). I should refuse to “adjust” the data because I believe that I should keep in mind my responsibilities as an environmental engineer. Even though it slightly exceeds the legal limitations, it is already unhealthy to have plant discharges flowing into the environment and it may endanger human and fish life with more discharges. A slight excess may not cause any problems at the beginning, but over time, it cumulates into a significant amount and will cause a huge problem. As en environmental engineer, I should be responsible to the environment and human life. Also if I get caught, it will make more damages to the plant. (c). This case raises ethical questions like choosing an unethical behavior that benefits my plant, but may endanger human or fish life or an ethical behavior that may cost a very heavy investment in new equipment and even cost a few jobs. Part B: I f I view this case in different perspectives at different positions, my responsibilities changed and so the decisions I made will change too. If I were an environmental engineer or plant manager

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
