CASE STUDY MODULE 626.4 Assignment: Online Presence Case StudyEven though there is a twenty-year gap between the launch of Craigslist and Let Go, theyare designed to do the same thing, provide a platform for people across the world buy and sell used products. In that gap is twenty years of solid internet innovation that Craigslist has seemed to be stuck in somewhere along the way. Craigslist was launched in 1995 by Craig Newmark as an email distribution list for his friends (Boulton, 2013). Over time the page spread into more categories and many more countries. Today Craigslist is available in 70 different countries around the world (Factsheet. n.d.).Compared to today’s many modern selling sites such as Facebook Marketplace, Let Go, Wallapop, and Offerup, Craigslist is very dull to the eye. Scrolling through pages and pages of the same blue text can drive a person crazy. Whereas Let Go knows to pull you in with a large photo first, people who are old pros at Craigslist postings pull in visitors with a great posting titles.
