Course Objective : The objectives of this course are to introduce the basics of matrices, find the rank of a matrix , find the solutions to linear equations and characteristic roots and vectors. to provide the necessary information to curve fitting and introduce the concept of correlation and regression to introduce to the basics of probability, random variables and the various distribution and density functions to introduce to the concept of interpolation and Numerical Integration. to introduce the concept of solving the system of equations using iterative methods and find the numerical solutions to ordinary differential equations using Runge- Kutta methods. Course Outcome : Students will be able to find the rank of the matrix by reducing to normal form. Students will be able to solve the system of linear equations and find characteristic vectors of a Matrix Students will be able to understand the concept of Curve fitting. Students will be able to find the rank correlation, regression coefficients and linear regression equation.
