Manchester United Football Club The Manchester United Football Club was founded in 1878 and is based in Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester England. They belong to the Premier League. It is the most well known football league in the world with over 330 million fans which is approximately 5% of the world’s population. There is the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach, the Defensive Coach (Goal Keeper), the Offensive Coach, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Scouting, and Club Doctor/Trainers. The Head coach is in charge of all the other coaches. He evaluates the players strengths and weaknesses and decides who plays what position and for how long in each game. He also oversees the practices and guides the other coaches. The assistant coach records each individual player’s statistics of that particular game and enters the player’s data at the end of every game. Relevant data that he records includes, goals scored and blocked, penalties, time played, penalty and corner kicks, and defensive tackles. The Defensive coach works with the players on defense at practices and helps them sharpen and

refine their skills. The Offensive coach assesses the other team’s defensive strategy and prepares the offense accordingly. The Strength and Conditioning coach’s work is mostly done at practice. He works with the players to get them in shape and ready for the game. He shows them how things should be done, so they do not injure themselves.
