Dwayne Johnson History 21 Essay #2 W . E . B Du Bois From the mid eighteen hundreds to the mid nineteen hundreds W . E . B Du Bois has become one of the most profound black figures in twentieth century . Du Bois led a strong fight for a new out look on racial issues and fostered black organizations in to prominence . He was a writer, historian, editor, teacher, sociologist and a Pan-African . Throughout Du Bois career he was head strong in to acquiring every solution possible for the problems that black people at the time felt from racism and Jim Crow laws . Till this day, W . E . B Du Bois is a prominent name along with other great African American abolitionist such and Fredrick Douglass and Booker T . Washington, and the fruits of their labors are still being praised as heroic and profound . William Edward Burghardt Du Bois was born to Alfred Du Bois and Mary Silvina Burghardt Du Bois on February 23, 1968 in a small Negro community called Great Barrington, Massachusetts .
