David HodgeInnovative IdeaBefore I offer my innovative idea, let me say I have thought about this product for some 8 yearsnow but have not had the opportunity as of yet to pursue its invention. In order to understandwhere I am coming from in regards to this, albeit small and maybe insignificant to some,innovative product, you need to understand my career. I have been in the propertyrestoration/cleaning industry for almost 20 years, among a couple other jobs, however this hasbeen my main job. I have processed probably close to 3,000 water, fire, and mold damageinsurance claims and have cleaned carpets in hundreds of homes and businesses using steamextraction method.One issue in our industry deals with draperies, specifically draperies and sheers that hang lowand overlap onto carpet. If we are called to extract water, from a busted water line, water heater,etc. out of carpet, often times the drapes are beginning to absorb water or are just simply in theway when trying to extract. They also get blown around when air movers and dehumidifiers areset up. What do field technicians do? They will take the drapes and tie them in a knot, throwthem over the drapery rod, or take a hanger and try to temporarily hang them up on the drapery
