1 BIOLOGY 112 LECTURE AND LAB SCHEDULES AND COURSE INFORMATION - WINTER 2008 LECTURES: Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:35 - 11:25 am in Leacock 132. First Lecture is on Monday January 7. TEXTBOOK: LIFE , by Sadava, Heller, Orians, Purves & Hillis, 8th edition, ( hardcover ), Chapters 2 – 14, 16 and 17 OR LIFE , Volume I ( Paperback ), on sale at the McGill bookstore. LAB MANUAL: Biology 112 Lab Manual ( 2008 edition ), on sale at the M.B.S.U., Stewart Biology Building W2/4. LABORATORY: Mondays / Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Thursdays 1:35 – 4:55pm in the Stewart Biology Building. Labs start the week of January 14 . For your FIRST LAB , you must come to the Stewart Biology building at 1:35pm on the lab day you have registered for on MINERVA. FOR YOUR LAB ROOM , CHECK LIST POSTED ON BULLETIN BOARD NEAR ROOM W4/9 . You will be assigned alphabetically to a room and a group and this will be your permanent place and group for the semester. ATTENDANCE OF FIRST LAB IS MANDATORY TO CONFIRM YOUR REGISTRATION . If you are late or absent on your first lab day, your place will be given to someone on the waiting list for registration for that particular day. If you are not registered on MINERVA, please see Mona Bissada in W4/9 by January 14 at the latest to obtain a DEPARTMENTAL APPROVAL TO REGISTER (only if course is not full). WEB PAGE: Logging into WebCT : if you have been using WebCT for another course, your login procedure will be the same for this course. You should have access to the Biology 112 Web page within a day or two after registering for the course. If you are new to WebCT, your McGill ID and Minerva Pin are exactly the same as when you login to Minerva to register for courses.
