1.0 Introduction to E-Commerce E-commerce (electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and services, or the transmitting of funds or data, over an electronic network, primarily the internet. These business transactions occur either as business-to-business, business-to- consumer, consumer-to-consumer or consumer-to-business. The terms e-commerce and e- business are often used interchangeably. The beginnings of e-commerce can be traced to the 1960s, when businesses started using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to share business documents with other companies. According to Kamlesh K Bajaj (2005), e-commerce refers to the paperless exchange of business information using electronic data interchange (EDI), e-mail, electronic fund transfer, world wide web and other network-based technologies. Electronic Commerce or E-commerce is one of a business system and trading which is using information technology especially advanced telecommunications as to satisfy and protect users such as sellers, buyers, banks, finance companies, manufacturers of digital certification and many others. Lately, e-commerce was using the internet especially the web to provide a network that brings customers, vendors and third parties together in a secure electronics environment for all parties and reliable. With e-commerce, everyone can do a buy and sell transaction wherever and whenever but the most important things in e-commerce are must own a complete and appropriate computer and communications that lets you access the internet. E-commerce can be divided into two main types namely between business and business and secondly between business and consumer. The first type of e-commerce is between business and the business involving transactions between two or more business and companies where often one party is supplier to the other party. The second type of e- commerce is between business and consumer involving transactions between the sellers of product such as Lazada that sells products to final consumers which people who ordered product through e-commerce. The online marketplace and advancement of e-commerce has soared over the last few years in Malaysia. There are pros and cons to this development but one thing is certain. If you are not using the option, you could be missing out on a large portion of sales. E- commerce is about the ability to purchase goods and services over the internet. It has drastically changed our technology-ridden marketing world and continues to grow and exceed expectations. Some of the most beneficial aspects of e-commerce are convenience

which consumers have more access to a variety of products and services. It is also easy to reach which mean e-commerce allow audiences far from store locations to purchase their favourite products, therefore increasing potential audience reach. The third beneficial aspect is platform to sellers to sell their product which is online marketplaces allow you to reach specific audience and e-commerce makes things easier for consumers and will see an increasing in sales.
