Home Work 1 2 Chapter 3: Case 1 How does grid computing provide Advance America managers with faster access to data? Grid computing is nothing by sharing of IT resources from different locations to attain target or to get a work done. The grid computing is usually done with the help of middleware technologies like Weblogic, Websphere, Fusion and so on. This middleware technology was used to build virtual super computer which helps to attain faster processing speeds, high data rates, high efficiency and very less time. By using the grid computing the Advanced American managers were able get the data processed to be very fast, the simultaneous updating of data at the central database is almost equal to real time. Therefore, managers of the Advanced American managers can access data pretty close as real time. How did grid computing assist Advance America in breaking through the wall that held it back from growth? The main obstacles were slow data process and very low speed networks. The grid computing uses all the available resource in the network to perform a specific task. The smaller tasks are performed by different hardware at different location and final result is obtained at the central console. This is a very helpful method of reducing the processing speed and obtain a high efficiency system with a real time processing speed. This grid computing also helped the Advanced America to grow and establish new branches very easily with the centralized operation of the data.
