-1 Jeffrey Li 4/29/2008 Environmental Biology Biofuels became a very important topic because the world is starting to run out of fossil fuel and there are other source of fuel remaining would not last for a very long time. The fuel people been using is harmful to the environmental and causes greenhouse emission. There needs to be a solution to this problem immediately. The world needs a alternative to the to fossil fuel and the coal remaining will not last very long. There needs to be a discovery of some new type of biofuel to be able to solve this problem. One of the solution to this problem could be bagasse from processed sugar cane that could be made into ethanol. The ethanol produce by bagasse is not harmful to the environment and bagasse could become an alternate source for the materials needed to produce ethanol. This may be one of the alternatives for producing ethanol, but when it is put in to effect on a large scale it would cause many problems and would be difficult for people to use only ethanol produce by bagasse. The benefit from using fuel produce by bagasse is because it is good for the environment and would be using materials people usually would put to waste. Bagasse is what is left after people get the juice out of the sugar cane. This is not a material people need and would to put to waste after the sugar cane is processed. Ethanol produce by bagasse is not harmful to the environment. It could replace ethanol made by corn. There been many problems with using corn as ethanol because it raises the price and demand of corn. This is a good alternative for biofuel because it is not harmful to the environment and is just using bagasse that is usually put to waste after the manufacture get the juice out of the sugar cane. Using ethanol produce by the bagasse is better for the environment. In Brazil the fuel produce by bagasse is commonly used in cars. This is also a fuel source used in many paper mills. This could replace fossil fuel, which is running out soon and the price is increasing dramatically. Bagasse could be used to generate electric and
