Ethical Issues and Employment Law Ethical Issues and Employment Law Employment law and ethical issues are incredibly important as they serve to protect employees and employers from each other. I personally have been a victim of both unethical behavior and violation of employment law. This experience, as a young person first beginning work, helped shaped me for years to come. By understanding employee rights and regulations, I will be more prepared to demand fair, legal, and ethical treatment in the future, as it is my right. The Ethical and Legal Violation Underage workers who are employed by a business are protected under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). An underage worker is anyone under the age of eighteen. The FLSA established minimum wage, over time pay, recordkeeping, and child labor standards (WHD). To violate these established standards by the FLSA is to violate the law. I personally have
