Both physical and human factors affect the formation and development of different landform features in various river courses and coasts. With greater impacts of human activities on rivers and coasts, the river and coastal management thereby becomes a continuing challenge. A. River Channels in China There are more than 50,000 river channels in China, which Changjiang and Huanghe are the longest river channels. Changjiang The total length of the main stream of Changjiang is over 6,300 km, which it is the longest river in China and the 3 rd longest in the world. Its drainage area reaches 1.8 million km 2 , weighing about 1/5 of the total area of the country. The river channel flows from the west to the east via Qingzang Gaoyuan, Yungui Gaoyuan, Sichuan Pendi and Yangtsz Plain. Changjiang has very large discharge while there is no freezing throughout the year. Poyang Lake and Dongting Lake , the largest lakes in the country, are located along the Changjiang Basin.

Its drainage area is over 750,000 km 2 . The river channel flows from the west to the east via Qingzang Gaoyuan, Huangtu Gaoyuan and North China Plain Since the river channel flows across Huangtu Gaoyuan , the silt content of Huanghe is very high, resulting in yellowish river. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
