ASSIGNMENT BENE 3223 CONTROL PRINCIPLES AND SYSTEMS QUESTION For the systems shown in Figure 1 to Figure 10 (one group choose only one system), design a gain compensator to yield 10% overshoot and design a state-feedback controller using pole placement topology to produce 10% overshoot and settling time of 2 seconds. For the state- feedback design, the steady-state error must approximately equal to zero. In your design methodology, the following information/matters must be clearly described and explained: a. Modelling of the system in frequency domain and time domain. b. Stability analysis of the system. c. Open-loop response plot. d. A detail design procedure of gain compensator and state-feedback controller. e. Closed-loop plot f. Details analysis of the results. g. Comparison between the output responses of the designed controllers. This includes in term of the difficulty in designing them. h. A detail discussion must be made based on the obtained results. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
