The End of Isolation During the 30s, the world encountered the Great Depression. U.S, under the New Deal, was battling to escape from the destroying sorrow. The risk of socialism did not by any means exist until the WWII. Isolationists believed that America's viewpoint on the world was not the same as that of European social orders, and that America could progress the cause for opportunity and democracy by means other than war. World War II and its connected unemployment in the United States, led to America's isolationist stance to disintegrate in the 1940s. America's outside arrangement has changed time reflecting the change in its national investment. As another country after the Revolutionary War, America's prime national investment was to keep up its autonomy from all the more compelling European nations. Ensured by the Atlantic Ocean, its major remote strategy, as embodied by the Monroe Doctrine, was to limit European endeavors of further colonization of the Western Hemisphere.
