Peristalsis- is a series of contractions that moves food through the GL tract.Segmentation- a process tat acts to slosh the material back and forth 5. List two functions of the stomach. Stores the food we eat and breakdown the food (digest) into liquidity called chime. 6. List three mechanisms by which nutrients are absorbed.
