CEGR3212 ­ Computer Applications in Civil Engineering Course CEGR3212 Concentration N/A Catalog Data Application of computers and numerical methods to various types of civil engineering problems. Examinations in depth of selected civil engineering problems. Credit Hours 3 Most Recently Offered Summer 2014 References None Goals Civil engineering students will be exploring the theoretical concepts as well as the practical concepts that are used in the industry. Upon completion of this course, students will be expected to (at a minimum): 1. Describe the logic in computer programming 2. Understand decision making in computer applications. 3. Demonstrate the practical usage of MS Project. 4. Solve what­if type scenario’s using MS Excel. 5. Analyze the capacity of an intersection using Synchro and HCS software packages. Gain additional knowledge of the capabilities that AutoCAD Civil 3D has in designing and solving engineering problems. Prerequisite(s) Three of the following courses: CEGR 3122, CEGR 3141, CEGR 3143, CEGR 3161, CEGR 3278.
