Week 3 Journal Think about the things you feel you can’t do well. A few things I do not do very well is drawing and gardening. For instance, maybe you don’t think you’re good at math, or that you can’t write or draw. Writing in my journal notes I know drawing is very hard for me, I have always had a desire to draw and be artistic. I also enjoy having plants and flowers in and around my home, a desire I developed from time with my grandmother as a child, however I do not have a very good green thumb. What happen when you have to do these things? When I get ready to draw I have this fixed mind set that I can not go through with the process of drawing a certain figure or item. A fixed mind set, which is explained by Carol S. Dweck, Ph. D., comes from the belief that your qualities are carved in stone. I know my intelligence, personality, and creativity are fixed mind sets that cannot grow past the fixed denials that I cannot draw. Does what you believe
