1. Explain two reasons why it is necessary to consider AT for students with disabilities. -Considering AT for students with disabilities is necessary for a couple reasons. One being they can help to overcome the challenge of a student having difficulties accessing the general education curriculum. An AT would be any device of service that would help a student with a disability meet his or her IEP goals while also allowing the student to participate in the general education setting at their highest potential. 2. Why is it important to consider both AT devices and services? -It is important to consider both AT devices and services because they both can help in different ways. An AT device is described as; any item, piece of equipment, or product system, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of a child and specifically excludes a medical device that is surgically implanted or the replacement of such device. It is important to consider using these devices because it can be found that most teachers already have some sort of AT device in their classroom already. They can be as easy or simple as a different pencil grip all the way to the more complex as a communication device. Services can be described as; any service that directly assists a child with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device. This is needed due to the fact it is the guidelines and help that is required to effectively evaluate the students need for a device. The service is also the help that provides training on how to use the new AT device. So the service comes first and the device after but they are both needed to make sure AT is used to the best of its capabilities. 3. Describe three responsibilities of the Implementation Team.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
