Ashley Carman HRM496 Case Analysis – McDonalds 5/26/17 Updated Case Information 2017: Business is McDonald’s Restaurants. There are over 36,000 restaurants in 119 countries with approximately 69 million customers. Annual revenue is $24.62 Billion, which is down -3.11% since 2012. The main competitors are BK, Domino’s, Inc., Yum! Brands, Inc., Starbucks Corporation, Wendy’s Company and many other companies in the fast food industry that I will not name to save space. Mission Statement is “McDonald's brand mission is to "be our customers' favorite place and way to eat “. Our worldwide operations have been aligned around a global strategy called the Plan to Win centering on the five basics of an exceptional customer experience – People, Products, Place, Price and Promotion. We are committed to improving our operations and enhancing our customers' experience. The Current Vision Statement is “McDonald's vision is to be the world's best quick service restaurant experience. Being the best means providing outstanding quality, service, cleanliness, & value, so that we make every customer in every restaurant smile.” The Current Objectives are: Enhancing digital capabilities and the use of technology to dramatically elevate the customer experience Redefining customer convenience through delivery Accelerating deployment of Experience of the Future restaurants in the U.S.
