Tiago Sousa Empirical Research Report English 310 2 Can the water crisis be solved with smart personal decisions and engineering solutions?
Image of page 2
Abstract: The topic of my research project is the state of water in our world, more importantly, the lack of it. Can the water crisis be solved with smart personal decisions and engineering solutions? In the current situation, we are running out of potable water faster than we think, and the population only grows, and our water amount is the same as millions of years ago. The average American uses about 2,088 gallons of water in 24 hours. Because it’s not just the water you drink from the tap: your food, clothes, and even this computer screen you are reading this on used water to be made. The food you eat comes from animals or plants that also consumed water. The point is, we need to be careful how to use it. Whether we will be here 100 years from now or not. The good news is that for every crisis, amazing women and men reinvent new ways to be problem solvers and mindful of our glorious, wonderfully wet planet. This research model could be used to help people see the whole picture in regards to water and perhaps even change the way they act and use water on their daily lives. A complete report can be found in the following sections, which include an introduction, methodology, results, discussion, recommendations and conclusion. 3

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
