FOOD LION APPLES FRUITS 2 Food Lion Apples Fruits Inventory control practice and management refer to the technique whereby all commodities and merchandise are appropriately and rapidly issued, accounted for, or recorded. Inventory control ensures the smooth operation of a business. Waters (1992) asserts that for an inventory control to be effective, it has to be designed by the executive management of an organization and based on strategic decisions to enhance its implementation. The correct application of an inventory control practice and management is the sole objective of the procurement manager or officer. Inventory control is stratified into different categories to ensure that all goods and service reach the intended consumer within a specified duration of time as requested by the customer. Such categories include procurement, care, and efficient disposition of equipment. The main aim of an inventory control tool is to ensure that the right supplies are available to prevent a shortage of supply. However, in additional inventory control enhances accountability and reduces incidences of stock theft (Mittal & Shah, 2016). This paper explores the application of the inventory control and practice tool in the management of an enterprise, Food Lion Apples Fruits.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
