Hypothesis I think the lower the pH is the better the enzyme will stick properly to the substrate and separate and create the proteins. The heat will make the enzyme work faster and will not allow proper time for the enzyme activity and the cold will make the enzyme work slower. Materials - 3 Test tubes - Vinegar - Benedict's Solution - Distilled Water - Starch solution - Amylase - Pipettes .5mL - Test tube rack Procedure 1 Starting with enzyme amylase you put 2 mL of the enzyme into all 3 test tubes. 2. In test tube A you put in a full drop of vinegar 3. You can grab the test tube them tap it a little bit with your finger to “thump” it 4. Even out the volume of the other test tubes by using the distilled water to the other 2 tubes so the volumes all match 5. For test tube B you put it in hot heat and let it boil for about 10 minutes 6. Then add 5 drops of starch solution to each test tube 7. “Thump” all of the test tubes to help them mix a little bit 8. Let the starch solution in the test tubes now sit for a minute

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
