Professor and Classmates, A “ Tort” occurs when a company violates a duty imposed by civil law. Tort laws allow individuals to seek compensation with those who acted in negligence that had an adverse outcome. One tort that comes to my mind is Intentional Tort . The intentional tort law consists of personal, economic, and property. Examples of Intentional Tort in business include but not limited to slander, battery, defamation, assault, false imprisonment, invasion of privacy, and intentional inflictions of emotional stress to an individual. When a business, shares patients, customers, or employees privacy information, The company violates that person or persons right to live his or her right to unwarranted publicity. Therefore, allowing the individual or individuals to sue the company for compensation resulting in an economic loss of pain and suffering. For a company to protect themselves from an intentional tort claim, one needs to review the
