LEADERSHIP MOTIVATION ASSESSMENT 2 Leadership Motivation Assessment The leadership motivation assessment is an excellent tool to assess one's leadership strengths and weaknesses. I scored a total of 66 points of possible 70 that suggests I have a strong desire and motivation to lead. According to Psychologist Guy Winch, studies conducted about leadership indicate that only 30 percent of leadership skills are generic and that leadership skills can be improved with self-reflection and effort (Winch, 2015). But not all skills are equally distributed on the list of importance. Although the assessment indicates that I find pleasure in driving a team to succeed and accomplish, it also points out selling my ideas in the initial part of the team’s project is one of my weaknesses. Furthermore, the assessment shows that I find convincing team members pleasurable. On the challenging areas of improvement, I do not enjoy resolving interpersonal conflict and think that
