important lesson you’ll ever learn about texting while driving and how they affect the lives of the people we hold dear to our hearts. In this new millennial society were social media and communicating are literally in the palm of your hands, a single lesson in driver’s education is now dated as technology changes the way we communicate and move around. I do not stand before you as a hypocrite, but rather I take this stage as a moment of repentance. To admit that I am just as guilty and I know personally how hard it is to put the phone down and concentrate on the road. This social addiction is not just problem for children alone, but even as an adult, I sometimes struggle with avoiding distractions while I’m driving to work and even immediately when I leave. But today could mark a moment of victory for you and save the life of someone. There are plenty of other options and a lot of good reasons to keep your eyes on the road. Texting while driving is a serious distraction that could cost you or the life that someone else loves. While I’m speaking, I hope that I can illustrate and show you a vivid picture in the dangers of driver distractions and explain how dangerous it is. Did you know there are thousands of people that die yearly from driving while texting and you could be a hero today if you choose to save someone from losing a relative? Studies show there are more than 65,000 people whom have been killed in car crashes over the past two years.
