White or Black, We Need More Hackers! So, what does color have to do with Hacking? Well first, let me define what both white and black hat hackers are. A white hat hacker is a computer security specialist who breaks into protected systems and networks to test and assess their security. While a black hat hacker is a person who attempts to find computer security vulnerabilities and exploit them for personal or financial gain or other malicious reasons. Why do they hack you ask? Well, per N.C State University “A hacker, breaking into someone’s computer or government is simply a challenge to them.” (Website: ) In my own words, I simply hack because I feel a sense of power and thrill. When I do it successfully, it feels good. I feel that I'm helping to protect others from a corrupt government or other entities who may have malicious intent.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
