2 Introduction to the Project The company that we will consider, analyze, and evaluate as a group in the Production and Operations Management course is One of the Biggest International Textile Companies; Hugo Boss. Hugo Boss was established to be operated as a clothing firm in Metzingen that is small town of Stuttgart in 1924. However; In 1930, Hugo Boss had some troubles and problems in terms of the bankruptcy due to the economic crisis in Germany and it participated to the Nazi Party in order to start a new business in 1931. If it is necessary to evaluate the last years of Hugo Boss, at that moment; Hugo Boss has 6100 stores for sale in 110 countries all around the World. Also, it has a lot of stores as a franchising all over the World. Besides, Hugo Boss has developed the cell phones and related accessories, at the same time; they have created the kids’ fashion collection under the umbrella of Hugo Boss brand. Moreover, it has some agreements with Samsung Electronics and HTC Corporation. Consequently, Hugo Boss is a ready wear manufacturer that is open to the public, its center is Metzingen, has expertise in the matter of men and women’s clothing. It takes the name of Hugo Boss that is founder and a fashion designer We will tell and present the information associated with company in which we obtained from Hugo Boss İzmir and We had an interview with Sevinç Sara Levi for obtaining the information. Who is Sevinç Sara Levi? Sevinç Sara Levi was born in 1980 and has studied at Dokuz Eylül University and her department was Business and she graduated in 2001 and she has studied for master degree at Ege University, Logistics Management Department. She has worked at Hugo Boss Company for 11 years. Her duty in this workplace is Logistics Department Manager. Before that, She worked at ZARA, Bershka and Lay Textile.

3 Company’s Profile Hugo Boss İzmir is a production facility in which Hugo Boss Germany (Center) has established through their own investment that is 100 % and Hugo Boss İzmir only provides the goods and services to Hugo Boss Company. It is a textile company that is taking the lead in the Europe and the World. Generally, They make production as a superior segment. Company’s Supply Chain Management Inputs Firstly, there are some materials in order to be able to produce a shirt for men and blouse for women. The raw materials to be used; fabric, button, thread and tera.
