MGT 354 2/9/17 White Privilege Pp. 26-39 1. What does the author mean by “white privilege”? As stated in the book, “white privilege” is special provisions, assurances, tools, maps, guides, codebooks, passports, visas, clothes, compass, emergency gear, and blank checks. So basically “white privilege” is like having the key to Final Exam about life. It’s like having the easy way. It’s like getting unearned assets or unearned privileges. Not working as hard to get what you want as others would need to do. 2. Reread the author’s list of 46 examples of white privilege. Select the five examples that seem the most significant in helping you to understand that white people are privileged. Explain your selections I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed. I do not have to educate my children to be awake of systemic racism for their own daily physical protection
