CARE IN TRAUMA 2 Showing Care in Traumatic Situations Imagine being in a car accident, where you were not injured but a family member was. As you arrive to the emergency room all you see is pure chaos. Your family member then goes to a room but you cannot go in. Imagine the feelings you might be having and the fear of the unknown that starts to fill you. Now imagine the whole situation again but with a nurse by your side listening to your worries and filling you in with information but most important showing care for you. As a nurse showing care and compassion to both your patients and their family is vital for being a professional nurse. A nurse can show care in many different ways, explaining things to the patient or their family, listening to their concerns, and comforting the patient and family members.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
