SPEECH SELF-EVALUATION Janet Seaman Public Speaking SPC205-03 Speech Self-Evaluation Checklist PART 1 - 1st viewing/listening : I noticed that I spent a lot of time looking at my notes instead of at my audience. I also noticed an invisible barrier between me and my audience because of me turning and talking to the screen. I did not engage my audience. I did notice that my hand movements were good. I did not properly learn how to present a speech using a power point presentation and should have done research on this. I feel that my speech did fit the audience and context of the event. This was a demonstration speech and my power point did accurately in an easy to understand way demonstrate the steps of doing the watermelon party trick PART 2 - 2nd listening : I think that I caught the audience’s attention from the start using two fun facts about watermelons. Since my topic was on a watermelon trick, the watermelon fun facts was relevant to my topic.
