Unformatted text preview: seduce and deflower Cecile just like in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, which he does. Meanwhile Sebastian in trying to seduce Annette and in doing so they fall in love. When Kathryn finds out that he has fallen in love with Annette she decides to destroy them. She tells Ronald of Sebastian’s antics with Cecile. Ronald confronts Sebastian and they begin to fight in the street. Annette sees this and tries to stop them but is pushed into the street. In an effort to save Annette, Sebastian pushes her out of the way of an oncoming car but in turn is hit by it. Sebastian is killed just like in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, only this time not in a duel. At the end of the movie Kathryn’s true nature is exposed and through Sebastian’s journal, just like Merteuil being exposed through Valmont’s letters. The movie follows somewhat closely with the book but only with modern day twists....
