Spring 2008 Engl 009-314 The Hidden God Jarrett Anthony Everyone loves honesty, it is one of the most sacred virtues in the world. So to begin my analysis of my model essay, I figured I would create an introduction with a two-fold purpose: first, to establish a sense of genuine honesty in my writing and second, to mimic the style of the essay I am analyzing. When first choosing my model essay, to be completely honest, I spent a total of five minutes searching for the first hunk of junk with full sentences that I could find that could pass for a “model essay.” When rejected, I spent ten additional minutes searching for a new essay that provided an analysis of popular culture. This new essay I chose discussed the classic film, “Citizen Kane.” However, the piece was just a few crumbs and old banana peels shy of absolute garbage, not to mention dryer than the Sahara Desert. Realizing I would have to write a lengthy analysis on the essay, I decided to take the assignment more seriously and that is when I stumbled upon my “model essay.” The author of this essay is unknown and it comes from the ever popular website, “AmericanPopularCulture.com.” This website features a collection of essays from “an institution dedicated to American studies and American creative writing.”

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
