Whalen 1 Nich Whalen September 15, 2006 My plain ordinary job… A lot of people do things in there everyday life that seams like nothing special to them, but usually, these things are special. In fact, in some cases they are extra-ordinary. Extra-ordinary for no other reason than it is something new and different to everyone else. Something that is extremely ordinary to me would be working for my father in a high volume business. My father runs the Golden Corral so it is only natural that I would work for him. Now most of you have seen Tommy Boy , and will remember that Tommy was a bit of a let down, and was always screwing up. Well I will be the first to tell you that it is nothing like the movies. My father wants to make sure that no one can say “I give my son special treatment.” So I started at the bottom of the ladder. I started in the dish room, working the undesired shifts and doing all the undesired jobs there is to do. However despite the fact that I loathe the dish room, I did well, mostly because anyone can tell you, having a foot in your rear is not an enjoyable thing. Then I got a “promotion” to the kitchen. Where I still to this day, have not gotten any training but was expected to be the best.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
