Whalen 1 Nich Whalen Mary Paniccia Carden November 13, 2006 The Doctor’s Make House Calls “Tell me what you don’t like about yourself?” That’s a bold statement, implying that there is something wrong. If someone came up to you in the street and asked you that you would take offence. Yet, if you walked into a plastic surgeon’s office, it is an expected question. Plastic surgeon’s live in a different world then us. They have the power to take aspects of ourselves that we don’t like, and change them to what we want them to be. They are Gods among men, changing people into the image they want to be. But there is a down side, the hours are long and can take a toll on their personal lives. Nip/Tuck takes the good and the bad and molds them together into a mountain of a show. Nip/Tuck is successful because it is believable even in those moments when it is unbelievable. The actors chosen to play the doctors are important for the success of the show. Sean has all of talent, but is lacking in the charm part. Christian has charm, but not
