SEXUALITY AND ELDERLY PEOPLE2AbstractHumans today live in a society were elderly people speaking in reference to their sex life is unheard of. We welcome the idea of an active and safe sexual life of a person in their 20s’ but dismiss the idea that older individuals were once 20 themselves and may currently still live a healthy sexual life. With age come changes and lots of those deal with physiological transformations and the inability to perform as you once did at a young age. A person’s stamina and ability to perform may deplete the older the person gets but the drive and desire remain as they once did at a young life. Many older people remain active with their sexual desire and pursue their sexual relationship but keep to themselves to avoid any judgment from others. As the younger generation we need to learn to accept the idea of “Grama” and “Gramps” getting it on, as we ourselves will inevitably be the same age they are one day.
