Unformatted text preview: Service Diary for Module 6 Company/business: Malnati Event Planning: Opening of Casinos The Service Process: Chief event coordinator is chosen, coordinator is given a time frame in which the event must be planned by (date of event), coordinator hires different people who specialize in event details (music, food and beverage, etc.), timeline is made, budgets are set, venue is chosen, entertainment/catering service is chosen) people check-in with coordinator with progress updates, guest-list is made (VIPs contacted, taxi-drivers, travel agents, etc.), day-of- event details handled, actual set-up for event inside of venue, and event takes place) 1. Project management can be used (and, is in fact, a necessity) in the opening of any casino. The opening of a casino has a definite deadline, as most casino owners/operators want to open their property as soon after the building process is finished as possible.
