Self-reflection
The centralized IMG Orientation program targets medical graduates or those who are
ready to commence employment within the Australian health system. It has its openings to all the
Australian participants within the states. The program runs at certain intervals during the year for
a few days. They are in the months of February, March, may, August, October, and December. It
has the integration of all hospital and non-hospital orientation that will assist in a three-month
reporting on the requirements of the medical board of Australia ("Home | Postgraduate Medical
Council of Victoria (PMCV)", 2017). The up taking of the program is regional based and
international medical oriented and demonstrates various ways in which proper implementation of
guidelines can be done to improve health care services all over Australia. The program aims to
deliver best outcomes from the two-day training to enhance the development of knowledge with
the team that is selected for the purpose.
The program will aid in the adoption of a certificate of attendance that will assist in the
reporting to the medical department of Australia. I am a self-motivated graduate with a high level
of integrity and ready to learn as well as share knowledge in a busy working environment. The
program will help me in the development of my career alongside sharing knowledge with the
people in my field. Teamwork will be a core value that I will use with the development of great
learning skills with my counterparts. From my undergraduate course, I have been made to know
the necessary guidelines that are needed in the medical council in a way that will yield success in
the sector. Given an opportunity, I will deliver the best together with the selected team to
enhance the success of the program. The many units that I have learned with the advancements in
education level will be one of the factors that will support the success.

Clinical question
You are caring for a male patient who suffered a fractured shaft of the femur 5 days ago. He
develops chest pain and shortness of breath. What would your immediate actions be?
First, the assumption will be that the cause of the shortness of breath and chest pains is
the pain that the patient is experiencing. For the purpose of having a correct procedural approach,
first aid will be important. There are several causes of the condition of which the obvious one
will be the fractured shaft. The main cause of chest pain and reduced breath is blood clotting at
some points of the body. Loosening of the padded sling will be done followed by the
administration of the patient with aspirin, which is a drug that has great chances of reducing
blood clotting (Mohammad, 2015). The drug will aid in the blood flowing again in the body. This
step will have reduced the severity of the chest pains from resulting into a heart attack.
Before
the aspirin, I will have examined if my patient is allergic to aspirin or not allergic.
