Augdon Greening August 28, 2008 Assignment 2 3-3.   Describe vellum. Vellum is a drafting paper specially designed to accept pencil or ink.  Most commonly used for  manual drafting. 3-4.   Describe polyester-film. Mylar is a plastic material that offers excellent dimensional stability, erasability, transparency, and  durability.  The best way to go about drawing on polyester-film is to use drafting ink or special  polyester leads. 3-7.   Which of the following combinations would yield the best reproduction: graphite on vellum,  plastic lead on polyester film, or ink on polyester film. Ink on polyester film, you have miniscule amounts of feathering when using ink on Mylar. 3-8.   What are the primary elements that give the best reproduction? Blackest, most opaque lines on the most transparent material. 3-9.
