Discussion #1Select three methods for conducting an evaluation of an employee's performanceRanking method: this method involves ranking of all the company’s employees from the highest to the lowest based on the employees’ overall performance or their specific job functions.In this method, the manager lists their employees then selects the most valuable and places their name in the top. The manager then repeats the same process with other employees until all the employee names are listed [Mod17]. Graphic rating scale: this is the most commonly used method for evaluating employee performance. This method rates the employees on a scale of 5-7 point based on their productivity. Essay method: in this method, managers write evaluations for their individual employees. The essay method is very effective especially when communicating to the employee their personal areas of strength and weaknesses. However, due to the fact that it is difficult to quantify essays, itbecomes hard to use this method to compare employees [Mod17].
