Mesopotamia Ziggurat- is a temple tower of the ancient Mesopotamian valley and Iran, having the form of a terraced pyramid of successively receding stories or levels. cuneiform script is one of the earliest known forms of written expression The earliest form of aqueduct was the qanaat. A qanaat is a tunnel that begins slightly below the water table in the foothills of a mountain or a   range of hills. This tunnel leads away from the foothills, gradually downhill, to carry water to a village or city. Crenellation (or crenelation , also known as castellation ) is the name for the distinctive pattern that frames the tops of the walls of many medieval castles , often called battlements .
