Unformatted text preview: Mathematics 23 Calculus III Fall 2008 Text. Calculus, Early Transcendentals , Sixth Edition, J. Stewart, Thomson/Brooks/Cole. Prerequisites. A grade of C– or higher in Mathematics 22 or 32. If you received advanced placement credit for Mathematics 22, please see your instructor to discuss your options. Attendance. Attendance in lecture and recitation is required. A Section 3 Report may be sent after 3 or more unexcused absences (from all or part of a lecture or recitation). Assignments. 1. Reading. The assigned section(s) should be read at least twice; once before and once after the corresponding lecture. 2. Homework. Homework will be collected at the beginning of each lecture. Late homework will not be accepted. Copying is not allowed and will be reported as plagiarism. Assignments must be neat and well-organized and must include the student’s Name and Recitation Section . Examinations and quizzes. There will be 2 one-hour examinations (Thursday, Septem- ber 25 and Thursday, November 6) and a comprehensive final examination.
