Unformatted text preview: Padraic O’Brien Fundamentals of Oral Communication Eric Eberhardt 5/5/08 Persuasive Speech Self-Critique I think it is safe to say that my public speaking skills have developed and greatly improved over the course of this semester, mainly on account of this class. I really believe that my recent presentation of my persuasive speech was a great demonstration of personal development in this area. This development and improvement was accurately represented with the reviewing of my speech with and without volume. I cannot say that my speech was perfect, or even worthy of praise, but I am definitely satisfied with the work put into it and my overall performance. The first time I watched my speech, I did so with absolutely no volume. One of the most noticeable characteristics of this speech was the fact that I spent more time with my attention focused on my note cards than my audience.
