Reflection on Achievement of Outcomes Week 8
Hello Dr. Nwagwu & class,
This class has furthered my knowledge and leadership abilities, as I prepare to
enter the advanced practice nursing profession. The role of a nurse practitioner and leader
are united with a common goal to influence others, creating change, and patient
advocacy. A leader should have a vision for the future with the courage to make that
vision happen.
Program Outcome #5
As a future nurse practitioner, this course has instilled into my being, importance of
theory, knowledge of the various professional roles, and a desire to advocate or lobby for the
continued progression of this profession. As I continue to learn, a life-map is being constructed
to help ensure my future professional plans are successful. This course has prepared me to view
obstacles as opportunities, such as learning effective, contemporary communication skills,
implementation of new ideas that update ancient systems, and reassess archaic protocol that have
outlived their usefulness but remain simply because tradition dies hard. I have learned to stand
