Review of Interpersonal Needs o 1. Inclusion: Respect o 2. Control: Impact o 3. Affection: Support o 4. Needs shape our identity o 5. So, needs violations threaten identity and create identity conflicts. C. Interests o 1. What we want: Material Conflicts o 2. Interests are negotiable. Our identity is not threatened. o 3. All conflicts are at least 50% identity and 50% material-based.
