SPCH- 1321 Hamilton Nguyen Journal #1 In a modern student’s life, we set our expectations upon how can we survive in a contemporary college or university. Such as completing a degree within a given time frame (more than four years), having a part-time job to support our personal expense, and maintained our social/personal status quo (e.g. individual’s relationships with Family, friends, lovers, etc.). Thus, we have seen and experience the interconnections between cultural diversities in our life settings. From my personal experience, I worked as a tutor at Bac Dang Learning Center off of Pioneer Parkway and Center Street. The cultural diversity somewhat similar to Tarrant County College Learning Centers, for example such as the students from k-12 came to the learning center for help or improvement on their academic studies. But in most practices at Bac Dang Learning Center, it differs significantly from other learning Centers such as Sylvan or Kindercare.
