EFFECTIVE TEAMWORK 2 of its teams. Accordingly, organizations worldwide are struggling to enhance the effectiveness of their teamwork in order to be competitive. The purpose of this paper was to illustrate why a good team is more effective and productive than a mediocre team. Moreover, the paper aimed to evaluate how the four recommendations in terms of ideas sharing, development of harmonious and collaborative work environment, autonomy and freedom offers, and feedback provided could be effective in the teamwork. The objective of the study was to illustrate which aspects of the four recommendations would transfer well to the teamwork in the banking sector. The paper adopted the Catmull’s conclusion and recommendations of creating an effective team to illustrate how to develop a good team in the bank industry. The study found that knowledge sharing, collaborative work environment as well as feedback provided had positive impacts on teamwork effectiveness in the banking sector. A team refers to collections of individuals who are interacting and coordinating their work and who take responsibility for their works in order to accomplish a common goal (Hackman, 2002). Teamwork is significant in any organizations, which can help their produce extraordinary results if they can develop an effective teamwork. Successful and productive teamwork has positive influences on the motivating team members, encouraging information sharing and energizing the members to perform their works. Effective teamwork refers to two aspects regarding effective leadership and effective communication. Specifically, effective leadership means that the team leader has skills to inspire the members to work for the team projects. Furthermore, effective communication refers to interpersonal interaction, which can enable team members to express their viewpoints and understand each other’s ideas (Anuja & Arulrajah, 2013). Most of the achievement and productivity of the company could be based on the effectiveness of its teamwork. Therefore, organizations should strive to create an effective teamwork in order to be able to survive in the harsh competitive environment.
