Mean, Median, Mode By: Christopher Wiseman SLP Module 2 MAT201 – Basic Statistics TUI University Dr. Superville, Core Professor Date: January 14, 2014
Averages, individuals use them all the time for almost everything. Let’s think about a typical morning. We use averages in what time we wake up, people think about how long it normally takes them to wake up, shower, eat and get out the door. We use averages when watching sports, standing around the water cooler with friends talking about the upcoming football game how our team averages a ton more points then the other guy’s team. Averages are what this paper will be about. We will be looking at the data I have collected from a two-week span from me driving back and forth to work and look at the mean, median, and mode. After that we will briefly look at if I anticipated those numbers to be higher or lower and we will look at which average I think best depicts my lifestyle variable.
